Spectacular sceneries, wonderfully fresh air, best places to spoiling eyes and soul…
Just sitting and reading is more than enough. Just an ordinary meal are available, so you can bring your own needs.
Entrance fee per person is 20k. If you bring motorcycle there are additional fee 5k (i don’t remember for car). Also there’s parking fee 5k for motorcycle. Quite good view. Too pack on weekend but overall good expy
It’s nice place , but the after the ticketing , when you have to park , you have to pay again.
The toilet such an awful
The tea bridge really dangerous. There is no safety at all . And there is no beverage shop nearby
Best agto tourism in Bogor, not far from Jakarta
This is a summary of my day-hike in the tea plantation. Other than having a cup of hot sekoteng and parking my car at the wide open parking lot, i didn’t visit the tourist attractions at all.
1. I enjoy the fresh air very much.
2. I can hike on the gravel paved roads or the natural path in between tea plant rows. The land contour for the second method is harder and it is slippery.
3. There is no food & beverage vendor at all. Bring your own, but please BRING BACK YOUR TRASHES.
4. The hike was relaxing and relatively easy. The paths recommended by gmap is about 90% correct. Use your conscience so you don’t get lost.
5. I hiked up all the way to the edge of the tea plantation which borders the gede-pangrango national park. The scenery is beautiful, the air is clean & crisp, there is no sound pollution at all.
6. From some spots, i can clearly see the the roof of taman safari’s panda palace.
7. I stopped a couple of times to chat with the plantation workers who are very cordial people. They even brewed me a cup of coffee. I enjoy chatting with them.
8. Starting at around 6.30am from the food stand by the car park area, i came back to the same spot by around 10.30am for a total round-trip hike of about 7 km.
Note: sighting of javanese leopard & black panther have been video recorded inside the gede-pangrango national park. So, let’s help their conservation by keeping their place clean of any trash. Bring back your trashes. I did, even my own cigarette butts. Always be cautious inside and near the national park. They are still wild creatures.
Update:
I solo-hiked here again the following week, but i took a different route which took me on a route along the border with the gede-pangrango national park.
At one spot around 8.00 am, i was startled by a rather loud & deep snuffle and the sound of hoofbeats running away just a few meters away from me inside the dark thick bushes. I suspect it was a wild boar.
