  1. Revisited after 5 years. This time there’s a tour guide who brings you around, plus point it’s live and interactive. Not so plus point is it felt slightly rushed.

Good place to visit to learn about tin mining and pewter. Lots to see and feel. Especially love the factory part where they show how its made.

  2. Lovely experience! We had a free guided tour that helped us understand more about pewter, the history, craftsmanship etc. it really increases our appreciation for the works of art.

I was very blown away by the items in the store, they’re not just decorative pieces, a lot of them are functional, like sound amplifiers, a light saber document holder, R2D2 tea cannister.

Cool to know that they make the F1 trophies. They look like they were having a very serious discussion!

  3. The Royal Selangor Visitor Centre is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Malaysian heritage and craftsmanship. One of the standout exhibits is the stunning replica of the Petronas Twin Towers, crafted with incredible detail and precision. This impressive model, made from pewter, showcases the exceptional skill and artistry that Royal Selangor is known for.

Visitors can explore a variety of other beautifully crafted pewter items, each telling a unique story of Malaysia’s rich cultural history. The centre offers an educational and engaging experience, with interactive displays and guided tours that provide insights into the intricate process of pewter making.

Whether you’re a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique experience in Kuala Lumpur, the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre is sure to leave a lasting impression. The combination of exquisite craftsmanship and cultural significance makes it a highlight of any visit to the city.

  4. Recommend to make a booking at their website before you come. There will be a guide giving you a tour of the center and sharing the history and some facts of the Royal Selangor Pewter. The staff there is friendly. The environment is clean and nice.

Even the kids enjoyed the visit especially getting hands on at the School of hard knocks. Those older than 15’yo can try making some accessories at the Foundry.
