Shah Alam Community Forest Trail

Can park nearby Petron station instead of dedicated parking for nearer distance to Setia Alam entrance (beside residential guard house) which is quite hard to spot if not following other hiker. Interesting mirror lake. Muddy road if raining a day before. Took 2.5 hours both way for first timer

Pretty place to hike on weekends, maps r necessary for first timer, easy to get lost, mirror lake requires at least 3 hrs to reach, be prepared with enuf water n snacks to recharge

This was a very nice experience for me and my friends. It was not hard nor too easy.

Half way through it was raining but yet we still continue. Just be aware if it is raining or rained one day before the trail might be slippery as most of the soil is like the muddy type an clay type of soil.

The peak garden was worth it for the hike. It was cold as it was raining. We could see fog and it was chill air. There is one gazebo like for sitting and waiting that helped us during grhe raining time.

We might explore again to the mirror lake and cover the whole trail.

It took us about 2.5 – 3 hours for us to complete the hike. So do expect to spend more ot less based on your experience.

Parking is advisable not to park at entrance A as you could receive summon. So I would advise to park at a nearby shoplots which is about 1 km away from the trail.

We entered through Exit A, hiked thro Tapir Trail to Mirror Lake, parked our cars near the shop lots, which were 10 mins walk away. Overall, it’s an enjoyable and relax trail.

Easy trail. Must come in before 10am otherwise no people around and then mountain bikes come in which is dangerous for hikers. There are many small trails therefore it is advisable to go with someone who is familiar with or start your hike earlier so that you can ask people around. In and out for mirror lakes takes about 4hours.
