1 hour journey from Kuala Lumpur by car. Nice road.
Best to visit during sunset and stay till 7:30. No camera allowed inside the temple.
Beautiful architecture. Nicely curved, Place your hand inside the lion idol mouth and feel that the stone can be lifted and move, nice feeling for kids especially(before taking the main temple steps (after crossing gopuram)).
Ample parking and Prasad will be served nearby hall (can enquire security).
Peaceful and not very crowded (went on Friday).
Acknowledge and agree with those who commented in the review. It is truly magnificent for a 10++year old building. It is not only removing your shoe but also your socks. If you wanna have a nice photo and not over exposure to the sun,it is suggested to arrive before 10am
A historical and wonderful place for a quick visit. It is preferable not to be in a large group because the temple is small and you will not be able to take a picture as you expect.
a beautiful Indian Temple with amazing sculpture. normally open at 5pm. sometimes 5:30pm. free entry, photo is not allowed inside.
While this charming Hindu temple may not be huge, it more than makes up for it with the vast number of intricate stone statues that adorn the entire temple.
Visitors are welcome to enter the temple as long as you adhere to the rules which unfortunately also includes no photography within the temple itself. You’re welcome to take all the photos you want outside though. There are no entrance fees.
One of the rules I missed was no shorts but fortunately they provide a cloth to cover my legs.
Getting to the temple from Kuala Selangor town may be a bit of a challenge as you have to drive past the entrance and make a U-turn a few kilometers away. So, if you’re coming from KL, it may make more sense to visit the temple on your way to Kuala Selangor/Sekinchan.
The other thing to note is that Google Maps gave wrong directions from Kuala Selangor. Maps gave instructions to turn right at the traffic light junction in front of the temple but it is not possible to make that turn. The correct way is to just go straight and make the U-turn.
