My good-to-go & comfort food! Love their broasted chicken the most, their fish asam is chief kiss & it’s not expensive at all (ive been told fish asam was way more expensive)! Varieties of choices– plus the place is clean, spacious & air conditioned. Good place to get a taste of Sarawak/Sabahan food.

This place brings Sarawak to me! Sugarbun food never disappoints since I was a child. The foods taste almost identical from the one I always had in Sarawak. This place could really grow if there are new options on the menu. A must try – Chicken rice combo & fish burger 😉

SugarBun originated from Sarawak.

Before, when I was younger in my primary & secondary school days, I used to live in Miri, Sarawak.

Those days, there was not much fast food around Miri, Sarawak.

I grew up with SugarBun as part of our fast food, which is a really good alternative to KFC.

I remember having to have a long queue just to get a plate of fish fillet & chips.

The fish fillet was covered in crispy golden dip fry tempura batter and big in size.

Now they had expanded their franchise & menus. it’s good they had added new range cuisines to the menu like Pizza, Ice cream, Laksa Sarawak & Sabah giant Garupa soup meal and several tea & coffee flavoured drinks.

I brought my aged parents to SugarBun Eco Grandeur to reminiscence the good old days after we enjoyed SugarBun after 35 years ago in Miri, Sarawak, but to our disappointment the good old fish fillet & chips doesn’t taste as it used to be. It was a letdown

Now, they use breadcrumbs wrap the fish fillet. The size is also much smaller as compared to the good old tempura fish fillet.

We hope SugarBun would reconsider to btmting bavm the good old tempura fish fillet

And improve on the menu

This is based on delivery review from Grab. Ordered Kano meal and its taste is true to the origin as far as I’m concerned. The delivery is far to my place almost an hour but the ayam still remain good and tender though a bit less crispy on the outside by then. I’m satisfied despite the setback that it’s far away. Thank you.

My wife and I had C3 combo meal and pizzas for dinner. I really like the rice. Soft, fragrant.. tasted really good! Their fried chicken is already nice, and now they have another version of it; ayam masak merah. At first I was skeptical but after munching a few spoonfuls, I can assure you it’s really tasty! Oh and their pizzas. We had beef pepperoni and western chicken. Such delicious pizzas at only rm14 for 2 personal size, I’d say it’s a steal! I would recommend this place for you to have lunch and dinner with friends and family. Will definitely return for their delicacies.
